The Three-Minute Thesis (3MT) competition challenges graduate students to present a compelling spoken presentation on their research topic and its significance in just 3 minutes.
Prize amounts for the 2020–2021 competition are as follows:
Second place: $500
- Third place: $250
All currently enrolled master-level students or doctoral candidates are eligible. More successful 3MT® presenters have done enough research that they can speak about the goals of their project to a broad audience as well as explain the potential significance and/or applications of their work. Your program does not have to require a thesis; if you have a research idea, you can compete.
