My name is Delilah Kelly and I am the School Counselor at Chatham Central High School in Bear Creek, NC--- close to Pittsboro and Siler City. Our School is a very small, rural school and we have the unique opportunity to hire an Intervention Counselor. This is a PERFECT opportunity for any of your Students or recent Graduates looking to expand their skills and knowledge. The position is currently available. Please refer any students that are interested in being a School Counselor and wanting to gain more experience.

Nature of Work:
To guide and monitor the school improvement and Multi Tiered System of Support process to maximize student achievement across the school.
 
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. As directed by the principal, facilitates PLC meetings, including establishment of team norms, essential skills, common assessments, data analysis and tier plans for students.
2. Provides expert knowledge about best instructional strategies and intervention practices to classroom teachers.
3. Conducts collaborative planning sessions with PLCs as scheduled by the school.
4. Collaborates with classroom teachers to assist in the development, administration, and analysis of formative and summative assessments.
5. Monitors, analyzes, shares formative and summative assessment data to assist PLC teams in planning instruction to meet the needs of students.
6. Provides feedback to PLC teams from instructional walk-throughs.
7. Assists and monitors PLC teams in using the MTSS process school-wide.
8. Collaborates with school administrators to determine professional development needs.
9. Serves, under the direction of the principal, as a liaison between the school and central services to communicate student progress and school needs.
10. Serves on the School Improvement Team.
11. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal.
