Dr. Kyla Kurian

Congratulations to Dr. Kyla Kurian, who has been selected to serve on the CACREP Board of Directors.  Dr. Kurian's five-year term begins on July 1, 2022 and ends on June 30, 2027.

The Council for the Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs  (CACREP), first established in 1981, is an independent agency recognized by the Council for Higher Education (CHEA). 

The vision of CACREP is to provide leadership and to promote excellence in professional preparation through the accreditation of counseling and related educational programs.  As an accrediting body, CACREP is committed to the development of standards and procedures that reflect the needs of a dynamic, diverse, and complex society.

This appointment comes just as Dr. Kurian will be rotating off the NC Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors where she currently serves as Chair of the Board.  Dr. Kurian has served on the NCBLCMHC for the past five-and-a-half years.
