Greetings,
My name is Tamika Jackson, and I am a Doctoral Candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision program at William and Mary. I am working on my dissertation and conducting a study on the experiences of counseling graduate students with conservative Christian values in secular CACREP-accredited programs, under the guidance of my dissertation chair, Dr. Craig Cashwell.
This study will explore how counseling graduate students who have conservative Christian values experience secular counselor training programs. This research will help counselor educators better understand these experiences and promote conversation around support and safety for students with conservative religious views.
You are eligible to participate if you:

-
Have completed coursework in multicultural counseling or are currently enrolled in a multicultural course.
-
Agree to participate in a 60–90-minute Zoom interview.
Individuals who participate in this study will be asked to complete a demographic questionnaire through Qualtrics before the interview. Interviews will be recorded. After successful completion of the interview, participants will receive a $25 Amazon gift card sent directly to their provided email address as a token of appreciation for their participation.
