The Counselor Education Program at North Carolina Central University invites you to the Fall 2019 Drive-In Workshop entitled, “Counselors Addressing Current Needs: School, Clinical Mental Health, and Career Approaches.”
This event will be held on Friday, November 1, 2019. The event will bring professionals from around the state interested in school counseling, clinical mental health counseling, and career counseling to network and learn about current trends affecting people today.
- Sessions may include topics on trauma, mental health issues in the schools, substance abuse, cultural diversity, spirituality, and career counseling.
- Poster presentations organized by current graduate students and the NCCU Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota (Graduate students are encouraged to participate in the poster presentation. Please contact Dr. Scott if you are interested).
- An information session regarding the NCCU Counselor Program for any prospective student.
- Earn a certificate of attendance for up to 6.5 clock hours of continuing education for the full workshop (approved NBCC Continuing Education Provider).
All are welcome to attend (currently practicing counselors, educators, professionals, faculty, students, and prospective students) – and we hope to provide opportunities for networking and sharing diverse perspectives.
