The Governor’s Institute has an event coming up that I think your membership will be interested in.
We are pleased to announce the Inaugural Statewide Adolescent SUD Conference! The virtual conference will be held June 6, 2024 and registration is open. In the first year, the adolescent conference is a free opportunity and all professionals and community members who serve and care for adolescents are invited to attend.
Leading in-state experts will address Stigma, the Unique Characteristics of the Developing Brain, Evidence-Based Screening and Treatment, the Intersection of Child Trauma and Substance Use, Perinatal Care, and Myths and Facts about the drugs in our communities.
The conference is supported by the North Carolina Division of Mental Health, Developmental Disabilities, and Substance Use Services, with the goal of improving access to high quality prevention, treatment and recovery supports for children, adolescents and families.
