Responsibilities:
- Create a coordinated set of strategies and processes for delivery of career services to ECE undergraduate students.
- Teach students how to find internships and jobs, including use of alumni networks, linked-in, etc.
- Act as a resource to ECE undergraduate students seeking internships and full-time jobs who have questions regarding the recruitment process.
- Deliver in-classroom and ad hoc presentations and workshops to ECE students on the full spectrum of career topics from resumes to interviewing.
- Advise students through the job & internship offer process including how to negotiate a package.
- Develop and implement strategies to coach students (including individual & group sessions, classes, panels, special events, certification programs, video and/or online training, etc.) including personal assessments, job search strategies, networking, resume writing, cover letters, follow-up, social media, self-marketing plans, mock interviews, ethics, salary negotiations, visa regulations.
Desired Skills:
- excellent writing, organizational and communication skills;
- demonstrated ability to work with faculty of a major university
- experience coaching, teaching and/or advising students
Hours / week - not to exceed 20. Start date: January 13 - late April 2025
