My name is Jennifer Cannon and I am the Director of the Nicholas A Vacc Counseling and Consulting Clinic and an Assistant Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. I am conducting a study exploring the relationship between mindfulness and COVID-19 related anxiety and depression with my study coordinator Megan Whitbeck.
I/we am hoping that you are willing to participate in this study. You may participate if you are a counselor-in-training who is enrolled in a CACREP accredited Counselor Education program in the United States and at least 18 years old.
If you choose to participate, you will be asked to complete a brief survey packet that will take approximately 15 minutes of your time.
If you begin the survey and you change your mind about participating, you can withdraw at any time during the study. Your participation is completely voluntary. If you choose to withdraw during the survey, your data will not be used. Choosing not to participate or withdrawing from the study will not impact your relationship with the researcher or the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
If you choose to complete the entire survey packet, you have the option to be entered into a drawing to win one of ten $10 Amazon gift cards. Upon collection of the online questionnaires, you will be prompted to decide if you would like to participate in the drawing for the $10 gift card. If you choose to enter the drawing you will be redirected to a new webpage that is kept separate from your data and asked to provide your email address.
If you agree to participate in the study, please read the informed consent that follows. The survey questions follow the informed consent.
