The purpose of this study is to better understand the clinical and supervision experiences of psychology trainees who work with BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA2S+ clients at risk for suicide, as well as the impact of trainees’ feelings about death on their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors towards BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA2S+ clients at risk for suicide. 

To participate, you must meet the following criteria: 

1) You are at least 21 years of age. 

2)  You are currently in advanced clinical practica or APA internship, currently attending a Counseling or Clinical Psychology master’s or APA-accredited Counseling or Clinical Psychology doctoral program. 

3) You have experience working directly in a clinical role with BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA2S+ clients experiencing suicidal thoughts or behaviors. 

If you decide to take part in this study, we will ask you to complete an online survey both rating scales and open-ended questions. This survey contains questions about your training experiences in suicide risk assessment and intervention, your experiences discussing your identities in supervision, your attitudes and beliefs about death and dying, and your attitudes towards a BIPOC and/or LGBTQIA2S+ client you have worked with in the past. 

All participants who complete the survey may provide their email address in order be entered into a raffle for the chance to win one of four $50 prepaid debit cards as a token of our gratitude for your participation.
