My name is Tracy Hunt, and I am a Doctoral candidate in the Counselor Education and Supervision Ph.D. program at The Chicago School. I am currently conducting a research study, approved by our Institutional Review Board (IRB-FY23-606), focused onthe impact of clinical supervision on the authenticity of African-American counselors in training.

Purpose of the Study:

This research explores how the quality ofclinical supervision affects the perceived authenticity of African-American counselors in training. This investigation is crucial for enhancing our understanding and practices in counselor education and supervision.

Study Participation:

This study involves completing a survey via SurveyMonkey, which can be accessed on any computer, smartphone, or tablet. Participation is expected to take less than 15 minutes.

Eligibility for Participation:

·        African-American counseling students currently in training.

·        Individuals who have undergone clinical supervision in either individual or group settings.

·        Those currently enrolled in a CACREP-accredited counseling training program or who have graduated within the last 12 months.

Confidentiality and Voluntary Participation:

Your participation is entirely voluntary, and all responses will be kept confidential. Participants are free to withdraw from the study at any time.
