Program Student Learning Outcomes

Counseling: Students will demonstrate advanced counseling knowledge, attitudes, skills, and dispositions necessary for ethical and culturally responsive counseling practice with diverse and marginalized populations.
Supervision:Students will demonstrate doctoral-level supervision knowledge and skills, including the ability to apply multicultural and ethical frameworks when supervising counselors-in-training.
Leadership and Advocacy: Students will demonstrate professional leadership and advocacy skills, including the ability to advance equity, access, and ethical practice within counseling organizations, communities, and/or the broader profession.
Teaching: Students will demonstrate competency in counselor education pedagogy, including the design and delivery of culturally responsive and evidence-based instruction in counseling and related courses.
Research and Scholarship: Students will demonstrate advanced competency in research design, data analysis, and scholarly dissemination, including the ability to conduct and apply research relevant to counseling practice with diverse populations.
