Wasik photoThe Counselor Education Program at North Carolina Central University is pleased to announce the hiring of a new faculty member: Dr. Suzan Wasik.

Dr. Wasik is a licensed professional counselor and an experienced clinician, professor, and corporate consultant for over 17 years.  She began her academic career at The University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Elon University teaching courses in lifespan development, career, group work, and counseling.

Aside from teaching, Dr. Wasik also built a private clinical and consulting practice in Raleigh where she works with individuals, executives, and corporate clients around the areas of personal and professional development, diversity, and peak performance. Her research and practice interests include: positive psychology in the workplace, mindfulness, and leadership development. 

Dr. Wasik lives in Raleigh with her husband and three children.  She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, photography, live music, comedy and improv, and traveling.
