“The experience I gained as the University Career Services Graduate Intern at UNC-CH this past year has been invaluable.  I have had the opportunity to work directly with students and follow my own interests.  During my internship, I was able to collaborate on programs with other academic and student affairs departments while also co-teaching the EDUC 131: Career and Major Exploration course both semesters.  I was not expecting to learn and grow so much as a professional during my time at UCS, but the supportive and collaborative staff pushed me to grow and get outside my comfort zone.  My experience at UCS has lead me to accept a full time position in Career Services after graduation.  I could not have asked for more, this internship was one of the most valuable experiences during my graduate school years.” Fall 2015-Spring 2016

“Interning with UCS has been a great experience in various ways.  Over the past year I have had the opportunity to not only conduct my own career counseling sessions but also to create workshops and co-teach Career Exploration class.  My supervisor was instrumental in the development of my counseling skills and I feel better prepared in facilitating career exploration topics and job search with students.  The UCS staff also creates a really supportive environment as I was quickly welcomed and truly felt part of the team.  I highly recommend this internship to anyone interested in this field!” Fall 2014-Spring 2015
