Eagle Counseling, Consultation, and Research Clinic (ECCRC)


November 14, 2022 


You are invited to the Grand Opening of the Eagle Counseling, Consultation, and Research Clinic (ECCRC) on Monday, Nov. 14th from 4-6 pm.  The celebration will be on the 2nd floor of the School of Education (Suite 2026), 700 Cecil Street, NCCU, Durham, NC.   The clinic program will start at 4pm followed by clinic tours, music, food, and drinks.  If you would like to come, please rsvp to Dr. Helen Lupton-Smith at This email address is being protected from spambots. The Eagle Counseling, Consultation, and Research Clinic (ECCRC) will provide individual, couples, and family counseling at little to no cost for ages 13 and up. We are offering in-person sessions in our new clinic space in the H.M. Michaux, Jr. School of Education Building on campus in Durham - and via telehealth.

We believe in quality mental healthcare for everyone, regardless of their financial status or insurance coverage.  All services offered on a sliding scale of $0 to $30 per session.

Dr. Taheera Blount Presents at SACES


Dr. Taheera Blount presented at roundtable session at the Southern Association for Counselor Education and Supervision annual conference, held November 3-5, 2022.  The topic of her presentation was - Adinkra Symbolism: Examining the Cultural Identity of Ghanaian Emerging Adults.

 
 



Dr. Levette Scott presents and the NC School Counselor Association Annual Conference


Dr. Scott attended and presented at the North Carolina School Counselor Assciation (NCSCA) annual conference, held November 2-4, 2022.  Dr. Scott is an Emerging Leader for the NCSCA Board (Emerging Leaders pictured below).

Don't forget that your signed Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) and your proof of liability insurance are due to Dr. Blount by 5pm on Friday, November 11, 2022.
